I think this one is extra hard for a non-american like myself (from the Netherlands) since the companies are less well known here or even non-existent. Anyway, some hints from the makers maybe?? ;)

true, the brands this time are more American. Still, only a handful of them are not well-known here, this side of the Big Soup. If interested, I can tell you which ones. I’m quite sure all the others are well-known in Holland, just as they are here, in Hungary.

OK, put them together, it can be two words(but it isn’t so I guess that would make it a compound word), which would fit the second hint. And they make more than coffee though. And it starts with S. I hope that helps ya out.
I know these clues seem so obvious to the people posting them. But they aren’t that obvious to some people reading them.
PS - If all else fails, google up coffee and look for ones that start with ‘S’.

Yes, you’re right, sometimes the hinta that are obvious to them posting them are not at all obvious to the others. But it is hard to judge when a hint is not clear enought, when it is perfect, and when it starts to make it too obvious. And I, personally, think it’s much better to give not-so-evident hints than straightforward giveaways that would spoil the fun instantly.

It is indead soccer. The logo has two diamonds to it, one inside another. And it kinda sounds like something you’d use when it’s raining out. (If the diamond hint was too obvious, sorry. I don’t know much about sports.)

The hints for N are correct, but still leave about 10.000 possibilities (given the fact that the hints state it’s a magazine, comes out every week and deals with world news), but I got it through guessing.
Even more stupid is that I don’t get I, I’ll probably smack myself on the head when someone finally tells me, but I just can’t get it :S
With the hints for N, if you look at the answer sToEpzOr, you shall see that they all make sense and they even refer to the answer inside the hints. It’s a little cryptic, but hey, it does what it’s supposed to. Same as the hints for S. Come on, take my suggestion and google search up coffee and find one that starts with S. It’s what I did.

j - Computer people know it as the first object oriented programming language. People who don’t like the morning know it as something that will wake them up.
o - Another computer thing. To computer people, it is a database company. To people that believe in the supernatural, it is someone that devines the future. To a Biblical person, it could be the sanctuary of the Temple.

Man, the answer for D… I was at their website and they definately didn’t have a lower case D in their logo… stupid companies changing their logos! That is one of the ones I tried for R before I finally got it.
And for T, I always thought that T didn’t have the slanted lines on top. And red, when you said junk food for it, you totally sent me in the wrong direction. But it’s OK buddy, I’ll forgive you.

you’re right, companies changing logotype suck… Same thing happened with the company for “s” in the first part of this quiz…
As for “T” what was wrong with my hint for the junk food? I thought it was a rather straithforward, almos telltale hint…
Hehe looking back it is, but for me it still took a while before your hints for “T” rang a bell ;)
And I just spent 5 minutes bashing my head on my desk when I finally found the “I”, after googling your soccer hint…
What got me going in the wrong direction is the “eternal #2 brand” part in your hint, because it’s well known that in fact the “I” brand surpasses the other well know brand by miles and miles.

For 7 - again, not a corporation but more of an entertainment franchise. Think “shaken, not stirred.” There is great controversy right now surrounding the change in lead characters for the series.

I is a soda, think of this and related to the logos sodas had in the 80s. Is a well known one.
R is a brand chosen by many football teams (English ones) to make their t-shirts. The logo in itself has two diamonds.
